Taking Care of You: How well are you doing?
September 19, 2005

Admit it: you're driven to be successful. You don't work the typical 9 to 5 job, 5 days a week. Most likely, your days tend to be 10 to 12 hours long and often bleed into the weekend. You probably have enjoyed many of the fruits of your efforts - and likely suffered the downside of expending your energy that way, too.

So, just how well ARE you taking care of yourself? Try this short quiz:

TF You have more time than you need because everything is so well done or delegated.

TF You have a right-hand assistant who handles most of your daily details for you so the you have ample space in your life to be able to respond appropriately in all situations.

TF You have a strong, happy and healthy personal life with lots of physical activity and pleasure.

TF You are not thriving on sugar, caffeine, or your own adrenaline to get you through the day. Your energy comes from your passion about life.

TF You have a financial plan to achieve economic freedom and are putting aside plenty of funds to achieve that goal.

TF Your business/practice is always in good enough shape to sell - today.

TF You have a strong personal foundation to weather life's ups and downs, disasters, and unexpected occurrences - AND enjoying a fulfilling life because of it.

TF You complete 10 daily personal habits that nurture your soul and your body.

How did you do? I hope fairly well, and I would encourage you to be able to say "Yes!" to each and every item.

It's no big secret that most professionals spend far too little time taking care of their own needs, and consequently either suffer from - or are on the border of - burnout. As a result, relationships can suffer, health can deteriorate, and emotional well-being can become compromised. Often my experience is that one of the hardest things for most professionals to do is to complete daily habits that nurture their spirit, mind, and body.

Let's further explore these aspects (and so many more!) of having a fulfilling life and living your big dream. I would enjoy hearing from you, either my phone or email. You see, MY passion is assisting those who want to live an extraordinary personal and professional life!
