Each coach has his or her personal style. Here’s what I expect
of my clients and what they expect of me:
It's a privilege ...
I am SO blessed with the privilege of coaching my clients! I am fortunate
to have the opportunity of assisting them to further their personal and
professional lives.
I Know You’ll Do Your Best
If you’re reading this, then I know you’re ready to go!
If you’re not doing your best, I'll ask you to. If you can't
do that at the moment, I'll understand … AND I’ll do what’s
necessary as your coach to be heard and helped back into your groove.
I Make Direct Requests
There can be times that I’ll say, "Will you accomplish 'X'
by the end of the month?" You may accept my request, state what you
can do now, offer another solution, or even say no! I'll make you right
whichever way you respond.
I Am A Straight-Shooter
Sometimes I make specific suggestions on how to handle a problem,
or I’ll challenge you to take advantage of an opportunity. If
I’m not sure of a situation, I'll say so. Regardless, use the
best of what I say and use your own judgment, knowledge, and intuition.
I Don't Like Stepping Over a Mess
If something doesn’t jive to me, I'll ask you about it. My
experience has been that these unexpected moments offer great opportunity
chance to resolve something. And, I don't confront! I am your partner,
confidant, advisor, coach. I'll just invite you to take another look
at something that didn’t seem to fit.
I Might Give Homework...
OK, I know you’re busy, so if it pushes you into overload, just
tell me. If you want more, just ask.
Use Me, Don’t Abuse Me
I am a resource for you to use to your utmost advantage. I have a
tremendous amount of love, compassion, forgiveness, strength for you.
I can share key distinctions and principles which will increase your
success and add to the quality of your life. I ask that you use me,
but not let yourself get to the point of needing me or my coaching
as a dependency.
You Know Where To Find Me
I want to hear it all. I want to be available to you. If you have
a personal problem, are upset with something, are just starting to
realize something big, can't wait to share a win or insight, call me.
